Terms of Use
These terms apply to the EuroPráca portal (europraca.sk and europraca.cz) from its launch. They are the rules for workers and for companies. (In the Slovak original, we address workers informally and companies formally.) How we protect personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
1. Operator
Ján Juhász – JeyJey, Záhradná 890/10, 059 21 Svit, Slovensko (“we”).
- Company ID (IČO) 55293026, Tax ID (DIČ) 1127101745, VAT ID (IČ DPH) SK1127101745 (registered under § 7a of Act No. 222/2004 Coll. on Value Added Tax, not a VAT payer)
- registered in the Trade Register of the District Office Poprad (Živnostenský register Okresného úradu Poprad), trade register number 740-42251
- e-mail: info@europraca.sk, data protection: gdpr@europraca.sk
2. Definitions
- Portal – the EuroPráca website at europraca.sk and europraca.cz.
- Worker – a person aged 18 or over who is looking for work.
- Company – a business that is looking for people.
- Agency – a company that is looking for people for another employer.
- Job ad – a job offer published by a company.
- Interest – the worker clicks “I'm interested”, sees which details will go to which company, ticks the confirmation and sends them.
- Database – profiles of workers who have agreed that verified companies may see them.
- Credits – prepaid units that companies use to pay for services.
- Group – a group of workers who want to work together.
3. Registration and account
- An account can be created by a worker aged 18 or over, or by a company under section 5.
- The details must be true and up to date. One person or one company may have only one account.
- The e-mail is confirmed by clicking the link we send. With the confirmation, the account is active and the contract between us is concluded. We then send a confirmation by e-mail together with these terms.
- The password must be kept secret. The account owner is responsible for everything done from the account. If someone misuses the account, you must write to us right away.
4. For workers
EuroPráca is free for you forever. We will never ask you for money. You can:
- fill in your profile and search for job offers;
- send your interest to a company;
- if you want, be in the database for verified companies;
- if you want, get new job offers by e-mail.
How sending your details works. By registering, you agree that the service works like this: when you click “I'm interested” on a job ad, we show you which details from your profile will go to which company (if it is an agency, you will see that too). Only when you tick the confirmation and send it do we send your details to that company. This is part of the service you have ordered from us. You can see who has received your details in “My account”.
Your obligations:
- tell the truth about yourself – your profession, experience and certificates;
- do not upload health data, copies of ID documents, your personal identification number or an extract from the criminal record;
- for a group, give only the number of people, and offer the group only if its members agree;
- do not create fake profiles, do not send interest without real interest, and do not use company contacts for anything other than looking for work.
You make the work contract directly with the company. We are not your employer or an agency. Before signing, check how much you will get (gross or net, per hour or per month), whether it is employment or self-employment, and who pays for accommodation and travel.
Never pay to get a job. The company must not ask you for any fee, deposit or payment “for arranging things”. If it does, do not pay anything and write to us.
5. For companies
Who can advertise. Only a business registered in a commercial or other official register in an EU or EEA state, in Switzerland, in the United Kingdom or in Ukraine. The person who registers the company confirms that they are authorised to act for it.
Agencies and intermediaries. An agency or another intermediary may advertise. In the job ad, it must state that it is an intermediary (the worker sees this on the job ad and before sending their interest). It may, but does not have to, name the employer it is hiring for. It is itself responsible for any licences it needs for its activity under the law of its country.
Company logo. A company may upload its logo; we show it with its job ads and in Google. By uploading, the company confirms that it may use the logo and that the logo does not infringe the rights of others (trademarks, copyright). We remove a logo that belongs to someone else or is misleading, and send the company the reasons. When the company removes the logo or closes its account, we delete it.
Verification. We verify every company in an official register after registration, usually within 24 hours, and we may also verify the contact person, for example by phone. We may ask for a document. While the verification is in progress, its job ads show the label “We are verifying the company”. If we do not verify the company, we take its job ads down and tell you the main reason. We may repeat the verification at any time.
Job ad rules. You undertake that:
- you advertise only real work that you are filling right now;
- you state the real wage or pay (an amount or range, per hour or per month, gross or net), the place of work and whether it is employment or self-employment;
- if you will deduct anything from the worker (accommodation, transport, tools), you write it in the job ad;
- you will not ask the worker for any fee for getting the job – not as a deposit, training, registration or arranging documents;
- you will not discriminate on the basis of gender, age, nationality, race, religion, disability or on other grounds; only requirements that the work really needs and that the law allows are permitted;
- you will not offer MLM, pyramid schemes, sales or investments;
- one job ad will be for one position (it may have several vacancies);
- you will employ or work with people in line with the laws of the country where the work is done, including the rules on posting of workers, taxes and insurance.
Order of job ads. We sort job ads by date and by the filters the worker chooses (profession, country). TOP job ads are shown higher and are marked as TOP.
Breach of the rules. We may hide or delete a job ad that breaches these terms or the law. In a serious breach (fees from workers, fake work, misuse of data, false identity), we may block the account right away. We will always write to you what we did and why. We do not return credits for such a job ad.
6. Prices and credits
Free: 1 job ad in every calendar month, published for 30 days. An unused one does not carry over to the next month. You always get the applicants who respond to your job ad for free.
| Service | Credits |
|---|---|
| Another job ad (30 days) | 4 |
| TOP for a job ad (7 days) | 2 |
| Unlocking a worker contact from the database | 2 |
| Unlocking a group contact | 4 |
Only a verified company based in the EU, the EEA, Switzerland or the United Kingdom can unlock a contact from the database. You do not pay again for a contact you already have (from their application or an earlier unlock).
| Pack | Credits | Price excl. VAT | Price per credit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Start | 20 | €16 | €0.80 |
| Standard | 60 | €45 | €0.75 |
| Profi | 150 | €105 | €0.70 |
| Company | 400 | €260 | €0.65 |
- VAT. The operator is not a VAT payer (it is registered only under § 7a of the VAT Act), so it does not add VAT to the prices. Companies from other EU states with a valid VAT ID (we check it in the VIES system) are invoiced under the reverse charge scheme – the customer pays the VAT in its own state.
- Payment. By card (also Apple Pay and Google Pay) through the Stripe payment gateway, or by bank transfer based on a proforma invoice. When you pay by card, we add the credits right after the payment is confirmed; when you pay by bank transfer, when the money arrives in our account. We send the invoice (tax document) by e-mail.
- Welcome credits. A new company gets 20 free credits when it registers. They are valid for 30 days from registration, then they expire. They cannot be exchanged for money or transferred, and a company gets them only once.
- Validity. Purchased credits are valid for 12 months from purchase. Credits that expire sooner are used first. After they expire, they are lost without compensation.
- Credits cannot be exchanged for money or transferred to another company.
- A service paid with credits starts right away (for example, the job ad is published). That is why we do not return credits for it, except in the case of a justified complaint (section 10).
- Price changes. We will announce new prices by e-mail at least 30 days in advance. Purchased credits keep their value and validity. Services that are already running do not change.
7. Protection of applicant data
When you receive a worker's data (through their interest or by unlocking a contact), you become its independent controller under the GDPR and you are responsible for it. The worker gets an e-mail when you unlock their contact, and sees your company in “My account”. You undertake that:
- you will use the data only for recruitment;
- you will not pass it on to anyone – no other company, client or person. An intermediary may send it only to the employer it is hiring for for this position, and will bind that employer to the same rules. An intermediary does not pass on contacts unlocked from the database;
- you will protect it – only the people who do recruitment at your company will have access;
- you will delete it within 6 months if you do not hire the applicant, or right away when the applicant asks for it, also when we forward their request to you. An intermediary will also make sure the data is deleted at the employer;
- at the first contact, you will tell the applicant who you are and where they can exercise their rights regarding their data (Articles 13 and 14 GDPR);
- you will not send advertising to applicants and you will not download contacts from the portal in bulk;
- if applicant data leaks, you will tell us without undue delay.
If you breach these obligations, we may block your account without returning credits. You are liable for any damage you cause to applicants or to us in this way.
8. Reporting illegal content
Anyone who sees a job ad or profile that is a scam or breaks the law or these terms can report it with the “Report job ad” button on every job ad, or by e-mail to info@europraca.sk. The report contains: the reason and an explanation, the exact job ad (with the button, it is filled in automatically), the name and e-mail of the person reporting, and a statement that the report is sent in good faith. We confirm receipt by e-mail right away, the portal administrator (a person, not a machine) assesses the matter, usually within 3 working days, and we tell the person who reported it the result. We will not tell the company who reported the job ad.
Job ads are published right after they are sent. When a job ad is sent, we automatically check for links to other websites and the most common discriminatory requirements; the portal administrator gets a message about every new job ad and checks job ads continuously (a person, not a machine). If we take a job ad off the website or suspend a company account, we send the company a statement of reasons: what we did, why (a breach of the law or of these terms, stating what it concerns), that a person decided, and how it can defend itself. Within 14 days, the company can reply to the e-mail with the statement of reasons and ask for a review; we will reply within 14 days. It can also use out-of-court dispute resolution (section 12) or go to court (section 13). If someone misuses reports (repeatedly reports content that is clearly fine), we may stop accepting further reports from them after a warning.
The contact point for users and authorities under Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 on digital services is info@europraca.sk. We communicate in Slovak, Czech and English. If we learn of a criminal offence that threatens people's life or safety, we will report it to the police.
9. Liability
- EuroPráca is an advertising and information platform. We publish job offers from companies and, at the worker's request, send the worker's details to a company.
- We are not an employer, an agency or a party to the contract between the worker and the company. We do not guarantee that a worker will get a job or that a company will find people.
- We verify companies, but the company is responsible for the content of the job ad, the wage, the working conditions and its own conduct. The worker is responsible for the details in their profile.
- We try to keep the portal running at all times. During maintenance or a fault, it may be unavailable for a short time.
- Our liability to companies is limited to the amount they paid us in the last 12 months. This does not apply to damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, or where the law does not allow such a limit.
- Our liability to workers is as provided by law. These terms do not limit their statutory rights.
10. Complaints
Companies. If a paid service did not work (for example, the job ad was not shown or credits were deducted wrongly), write to info@europraca.sk within 14 days of the error and describe what happened. We will reply within 30 days. If the complaint is justified, we will return the credits or extend the job ad. If that is not possible, we will refund a proportional part of the price.
Workers. Send a complaint or suggestion to info@europraca.sk. We will reply within 30 days.
11. Closing the account
- A worker can close their account at any time, without giving a reason and free of charge, with the “Delete account and all data” button in “My account”. We delete everything except what we must keep by law or for our legitimate interest (the overview is in the Privacy Policy, section 6).
- A company can close its account at any time in “My account” or by e-mail. Its job ads end and unused credits are lost. We keep invoices for 10 years, as the law requires.
- We may close an account right away in the case of a serious breach of these terms. Otherwise, we close it with a notice period of 30 days announced by e-mail; in that case, we refund the company a proportional part of the price for valid unused credits.
- If a worker does not sign in for 24 months, we send them a warning and delete the account 30 days later.
12. Out-of-court dispute resolution
If you are a consumer and you are not satisfied with how we handled your complaint, or we did not reply within 30 days, you can file a proposal for alternative dispute resolution under Act No. 391/2015 Coll. on Alternative Resolution of Consumer Disputes. You file the proposal within 1 year of the day we rejected your complaint, or of the day 30 days passed without a reply. Disputes are resolved by:
Slovenská obchodná inšpekcia, ústredný inšpektorát, Odbor pre medzinárodné vzťahy a alternatívne riešenie spotrebiteľských sporov (Slovak Trade Inspection, Central Inspectorate, Department for International Relations and Alternative Resolution of Consumer Disputes), Bajkalská 21/A, P. O. BOX 29, 827 99 Bratislava 27, ars@soi.sk, www.soi.sk
You can also turn to another body from the list kept by the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic. Companies, as businesses, do not have this option.
13. Governing law and courts
Slovak law applies. If you are a consumer, you do not lose the protection given to you by the law of the country where you live, and you can also go to a court in your country. Disputes with companies are decided by the courts of the Slovak Republic.
14. Changes to the terms
We will announce changes to the terms by e-mail at least 14 days in advance, and price changes at least 30 days in advance. Anyone who does not agree with a change can close their account before it takes effect. If they keep using the portal, the new terms apply.
15. Final provisions
These terms apply from the launch of the portal. If any provision is invalid, the others remain valid. We communicate by e-mail, and e-mail counts as written form.
